South Texas Roller Derby

The RGV Bandidas are the only roller derby team in the Rio Grande Valley and are proud members of the Women’s Flat Track Roller Derby Association (WFTDA). Originally, two teams existed in the RGV: the MacTown Rebel Rollers in McAllen and the South Texas Rolleristas in the Lower Valley. In 2015, these two teams decided to join forces. The merge allowed easier access to resources for the league and the ability to offer roller derby as a recreational sport to women across the Rio Grande Valley.

Our mission is to empower women through a fast, physically and mentally demanding contact sport. We are comprised of mothers, students, workers, veterans, and those who do it all. We strive to create a fun and supportive environment for women across the RGV. We thank our community for their support through our volunteer work and donations to other non-profit organizations.
